Cracker Compartment!

I used to hate soup. Don’t ask me why, but it was, among other possible reasons you can probably guess, a major problem I had with being sick.

I like the re-purposed vintage look. Which is exactly why I love these vases. To put it simply and sweetly, these are rustic-looking, but oh-so-preppy and clean at the same time. I can just picture them with a bunch of hydrangeas in them or maybe even a few stalks of lavender. They’d look gorgeous on an outdoor dining table with corn-on-the-cob, grilled veggies, and a thick cut of steak, don’t you think? Then again, what wouldn’t look gorgeous on a table with such a yummy meal?Actually, I can think of a few things…but let’s not…So, Ikea, you’ve done it again with these delightful little vases. And at such an affordable price, why not buy a bunch and run them, complete with unlimited kinds of blossoms, the entire length of your table?

I often dream of ways I am going to decorate my house one day. Right now, I live in a teensy apartment that my fiance and I have planned on moving out of for over a year now. We’ve been looking for a house off and on for that long. Yep. I love almost every aspect of interior decorating and design. And so, when I saw this vanity, I started picturing it in my one-day home.
Set against a neutral gray, blue, or lemon yellow, you could find yourself in the perfect country bathroom. You’d have to have soft neutrals, of course, and maybe a burlap-esque curtain with creamy towels to match. And perhaps an antique bronze faucet.
Either way, I love this vanity and wish I had the house to decorate that would come with it. Oh, life…

I want this salad bowl. It’s so pretty with its slick wood surface and sleek stand. And what’s even better is that it allows you to set the giant salad bowl—which often takes up way too much space on the table—off to the side of your meal, leaving room for other goodies to enjoy. My parents bought one of these for my grandparents once and I have loved the design ever since. And now, I can be a copycat and have one all for myself. Win!Caesar Salad Bowl Set, available from HauteLook, from $69.
